Always Tattoos ~

From friendship bracelets to matching tattoos <3

I have so many photos to go through from this summer I don't even know where to begin...but we were talking about this today and it's so important to me that I just felt I needed to share this first.

I have been questioned about tattoos before and if any of you have some I'm sure you have too. Things like, "What is the significance of your tattoo?" and "Aren't you going to regret that later in your life?" and here is what I have to say about this one in particular:

Over the past two years the Harry Potter series has become a huge presence in my life.  Sure I read the books as a kid but I fell in love with it all over again two years ago when I decided to pick it up again and finally read it from cover to cover.  For any of you who regularly follow my updates it is needless to say that I became massively obsessed with Snape (as have a few of you ) and I have made several really good friends through this shared fandom and the HP fandom in general.

Last summer here on DA I found someone who I never expected to walk into my life.  I thought I was happy up until that point, but now I know that something had been missing.  I desperately needed a friend, a best friend, someone who cared about every stupid little bit of my daily activities as much as I cared about theirs, but also someone who I could be excited with and not feel ashamed, as well as simply indulge with, and through mutual Snape obsessing and simultaneous stalking, I found that person, or should I say, we found each other.  I have no idea what I did right or how we managed to form such a strong bond so quickly despite being on opposite sides of the globe, but this summer we came together in person for the first time and I knew I had found a part of myself that I had been missing.

All of that said, we never had a second thought about getting tattoos together. It was as simple as was the decision to meet.  Snape and this summer will always have such an important significance to the both of us and nothing will ever change that.  We may eventually grow weary of our fandoms and I cannot fathom a day where we should grow apart, but no matter what the future brings this tattoo commemorates the significance and importance of this time of our lives and nothing can ever take this away from us.  What could be more appropriate than the word "always" for two people on so many levels? The Snape fangirl inside me squees at the thought of it! And the fact that there is another human being on this Earth that feels the same way fills me with unfathomable happiness.  Having it tattooed on means that no matter where life takes us this moment in time will stay with us through all of it.  Every time I look at it it reminds me of how happy I have been in this time and that somewhere on the other side of the earth they are probably doing the same thing. (If only I could summon you with it like the dark lord summons his death eaters... ) anywho, I believe I have answered those prying, doubtful questions.

The distance of the entire world may separate us but there is now a physical connection that keeps us together, and a place and a time that will remain with us in our hearts and minds, always.  Yes, you are special, and yes I am aware that we are very creepy, and no, I don't care and I don't think you do either, and that is why we are awesome. I love you, you are my best friend (stalker...internet girlfriend...questionable owner of parts of my brain...and so many other things...) and I do not know what I would do without you. (probably cry over Snape alone...or over Katie's homemade ice cream .. ) I hope this post finds you well, brings a smile to your face, possibly tear to your eye, and that none of your other internet stalkers kill me... *cheeky grin*
